Mao’ao is a village formed by “fishing”. The area was the fishing ground of the Ketagalan tribe among the Taiwanese Plains Indigenous Peoples. As the yield was considerable, it was thus called “Little Keelung”.

Get off the train at the Fulong Railway Station. Rent a bike and cycle along the “Old Circular Caoling Bikeway” for about 30 minutes to “Mao’ao Fishing Village Station.”
